Learning Objectives  |  After participating in this activity, learners should be better able to:

• Review the normal healing process and pathophysiology of non‐healing wounds
• Apply evidence‐based methods of wound bed preparation and dressing based on clinical assessment
• Examine current treatment modalities for wound care highlighting compression therapy, negative pressure wound therapy, advanced wound care dressings, and skin protectants
• Determine when and on which types of wounds to use various advanced wound care modalities

Target Audience:  This activity is designed for physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and podiatrists across all practice settings involved in the prevention, treatment, and management of patients with wounds.

CE Credit:  In support of improving patient care, HMP Education is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

To be eligible for credit, participants must complete the educational activity, complete the 4-question post-test with a minimum score of 70%, and complete the activity evaluation form.
