Learning Objectives | After participating in this activity, learners should be better able to:
- Differentiate between various skin injuries, including MASD, pressure injuries, and medical adhesive related skin injuries
- Identify clinical gaps with current therapies for skin injuries
- Review an algorithmic approach to protect and manage skin injuries
- Examine the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society’s new ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes for Moisture-Associated Skin Damage (MASD)
- Integrate clinician education, cross-continuum team collaboration, and health information exchange to ensure continuity of care for patients with skin injuries

Target Audience: Physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, podiatrists & dietitians across all practice settings involved in the prevention, treatment & management of patients with wounds.
Continuing Education: Video with slides. To be eligible for credit, participants must complete the educational activity, the four-question post-test with a score of 75% or better, and the evaluation form. Upon finishing the activity, participants will receive instructions for completing the evaluation and printing a certificate or other documentation of credit.
