HMP* presents 40…Why Wound Care?” on-demand programs for Practicing Clinicians

6.5 million U.S. patients are affected by non-healing wounds each year. With our aging population and the increase in diabetes and obesity these numbers will continue to rise. The need for specialized wound care clinicians has never been greater.

Over 40 presentations on key wound care topics were developed by leading educators within this field as a way to encourage students and clinicians to consider a career as a wound care specialist. Check out the “Why Wound Care?” website and learn more for free.

Mission  |  To inform practicing clinicians from multiple clinical specialties about rewarding careers in wound care.

Vision  |  To increase the number of practicing clinicians pursuing a specialized wound care career to enhance safe, effective care for people with, or at risk for, wounds.

Goals  |  to provide practicing clinicians with:

  • Access to a wide variety of complimentary wound care educational-resources
  • Evidence-based content for integrating wound management and prevention concepts into their practice
  • Information about the market needs and career opportunities within the field of wound care

Target audience: These presentations are designed for practicing clinicians involved in the treatment of patients with chronic wounds.

There is no CE credit associated with these programs.
