This webinar aims to present a practical approach to problems related to water in steam sterilization processes. Among the problems are: adverse events, steam quality, impacts on the conservation of equipment and surgical instruments, such as various stains and incrustations.

Learning Objectives  |  After participating in this activity, learners should be better able to:

  • Recognize the main recommendations regarding water quality control for steam generation and treatment technologies
  • Relate water quality control to the prevention of adverse events in patients, impairment in the sterilization process and instrumental damage
  • Demonstrate the importance of water quality control
