Gastrointestinal intolerance (GI) has significant clinical implications for critical care patients. The key to a patient’s care plan is recognizing appropriate and effective nutrition interventions. The presenter will share her expertise on GI intolerance in the critical setting.

  1. Describe clinical characteristics and mechanisms of action of GI intolerance in the ICU
  2. Review evidence-based approaches on how to care for ICU patients with GI intolerance
  3. Describe methods for tailoring nutrition interventions for ICU patients with GI intolerance
