“Outfitting Your ASC for Efficiency: Planning for Expansion”

Getinge* presents…“Outfitting Your ASC for Efficiency: Planning for Expansion”

Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) are a cornerstone to the delivery of optimal surgical care. In the current surgical environment, ASCs are seeing unprecedented procedural growth in a continued effort to optimize patient outcomes and efficiency. The expanding market is inclusive of more traditional ASC procedures, as well as new growth in cardiac, orthopedic, and spine procedures. During this evolution, it will be imperative that both existing and new ASCs are outfitted with technology, equipment, and products to deliver quality care for their patients. ASC administrative leaders are instrumental in building these new programs, which requires thoughtful planning and implementation of efficient processes and purchasing decisions, amongst the many daily responsibilities of the role.

Learning Objectives  |  At the end of this session, participants should be able to:

  1. Review advantages and trends in the ambulatory surgery center (ASC) market.
  2. Compare fixed versus variable costs associated with existing and new ASCs.
  3. Describe operational process challenges and opportunities for efficiency in an ASC.
