In this course, Cassandra Pogatschnik, RD, LD, CNSC, CCTD, will state the micronutrient deficiencies in nutrition support patients; identify the physical manifestation of micronutrient deficiencies through the nutrition-focused physical examination; discuss how abnormal micronutrient levels affect the processes of ingestion, absorption, and metabolism; and more.   • State the causes of micronutrient deficiencies in nutrition support patients.
  • Identify the physical manifestation of micronutrient deficiencies through the nutrition-focused physical examination.
  • Discuss how abnormal micronutrient levels affect the processes of ingestion, absorption, and metabolism.
  • Review strategies on how to monitor and treat micronutrient deficiencies and excesses.
