One of the many changes spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the rapid adoption of telehealth as a solution to maintain access to care while practicing social distancing. Many practitioners quickly transitioned to telehealth but may not have learned best practices for delivering telehealth. As healthcare transitions to the post-pandemic phase, it is critical for telehealth providers to implement techniques and skills to support sustainable telehealth services. The purpose of this on-demand webinar is to discuss the regulatory implications, professional and ethical guidelines, and competencies in telehealth to deliver quality patient care.

Learning Objectives  |  At the end of this session, participants should be able to:

  1. Develop a working understanding of the regulatory framework surrounding the implementation and practice of telehealth
  2. Understand the professional and ethical guidelines supporting the practice of telehealth
  3. Implement a variety of techniques for maximizing one’s professional presentation when using video
  4. Explore a variety of common clinical skills necessary for the effective practice and support of telehealth services

Target Audience:  Physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals who are interested in learning more about best practices in telehealth.

Continuing Education: California Board of Registered Nursing. Association of periOperative Registered Nurses is provider-approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 13019 for 2.0 contact hours. Obtaining full credit for this offering depends upon attendance, regardless of circumstances, from beginning to end. Licensees must provide their license numbers for record-keeping purposes.

The certificate of course completion issued at the conclusion of this course must be retained in the participant’s records for at least four (4) years as proof of attendance.
