“Leveraging Evidence, Interdisciplinary Approaches and Material Engineering to Increase Compliance & Obtain Clinical Benefits with Compression Therapy”

Urgo Medical North America* presents…”Leveraging Evidence, Interdisciplinary Approaches and Material Engineering to Increase Compliance & Obtain Clinical Benefits with Compression Therapy”

It is well known that compression therapy is the cornerstone of therapeutic management of patients with chronic venous insufficiency, however, poor adherence to treatment remains a clinical challenge. Consistent, continuous application of therapeutic pressure, as well as comfortable wear of the bandage are all essential for compliance driven therapeutic benefits, with comfort of wear being the greatest determinant of compression treatment compliance. All of this is achievable via the use of sophisticated fabric and material engineering in creating bandaging systems. This session will highlight the efficacy and safety profile of a two-layer novel Dual Compression System, that uniquely incorporates both short and long stretch bandages for supporting healing of venous leg ulcers and improving patients quality of life. Panelists will translate the growing evidence base supporting the use of this compression system with published clinical studies, including RCTS, and real life case studies.
