Effective reprocessing of flexible endoscopes often creates challenges for all healthcare facilities.  This presentation will review common reprocessing gaps that were identified during national audits and balance findings with related  organizational guidelines.  Topics of discussion cover current and emerging issues including pre-cleaning, manual cleaning, inspection, AER claims, and drying.  Potential future hot topics  as well as considerations related to new flexible endoscope disposable aspects will be discussed.
