Attendees will learn about a large real-world data study evaluating the impact of incrementally introducing chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) dressings (sponge or gel) in addition to an ongoing catheter bundle on the rates of CRBSI.
Learning Objectives | At the end of this session, participants should be able to:
- Describe the value of real world evidence over an extended period of time to inform practice improvement
- Discuss data from a new study in which significant improvement in catheter related infections was achieved despite an increasingly challenging environment
- Identify essential elements that led to sustained improvement in infection rates
