In 2019, The Joint Commission launched new performance measure dashboards for Ambulatory Surgery Centers. These dashboards help to identify important quality targets and assist organizations in identifying where their performance lags and leads. Colonoscopy Interval for High-Risk Patients is a measure included in the dashboard for which the field of TJC-accredited Ambulatory Surgery Centers has opportunity to improve.

The aim of this webinar series is to provide an opportunity for all Ambulatory Surgery Center facilities to learn from organizations that have exceled at this topic. High performing sites will share their best practices and lessons learned in achieving and sustaining their impressive outcomes.

During the session, Bluffton Okatie Surgery Center, LLC and Melbourne GI Center will present about colonoscopy interval for high-risk patients and answer questions during a live Q&A segment during the webinar. These webinars are intended for Ambulatory Surgery Center leaders, managers, and point of care staff.

Learning Objectives  |  At the end of the session, participants should be able to:

1. Apply concepts learned about evidence-based best practices regarding colonoscopy interval for high-risk patients in ambulatory healthcare organizations.
2. Identify common performance and outcome challenges in colonoscopy interval for high-risk patients in ambulatory health care organizations and
3. Prepare to implement at least one new best-practice related to colonoscopy interval for high-risk patients and improve outcomes in the learner’s facility.
