HealthTrust presents…“2023 Novel Drug Approvals CE Update”
Please Note: Continuing education credit is only available to those attending the session live. CE credit is not available when accessing the program on demand.
Each January, the FDA publishes a list of the drugs approved in the previous calendar year for human use. It’s important for pharmacists to know what these drugs are, how they’re to be used and be familiar with the clinical studies that support their use. The presenters will address the medications approved by the FDA in 2023 which are most likely to be seen in practice, summarize the clinical studies that support their use in the intended form(s), and identify clinical pearls for each medication.
Learning Objectives for Pharmacists, Healthcare Executives & Supply Chain | At the end of this session, participants should be able to:
- Recall the new molecular entities approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2023
- Recognize the indications and drug class of the new drugs
- Identify common adverse events, available dosage forms, and clinical pearls of the new drugs
