Business Intelligence (BI) tools are an essential part of business functions in the modern day workplace and are becoming more accessible to the common end user through self-service capabilities. Self-service tools are the next step in providing stakeholders the information needed to enact action. When built correctly, these tools can automate analytics and produce action-oriented results without the expense of third-party specialty vendors. To build the right tools and analytics, the proper structure and goals are required to achieve the highest results. This session highlights the tools and strategies needed in deploying a self-services BI tool for pharmacy.

Learning Objectives | At the end of this session, participants should be able to:

  • Identify various types of business intelligence tools, including self-service tools
  • Explain the structure needed to build a BI self-service program
  • Design an outline for a self-service app for an end user
