Legal and regulatory updates occur frequently in the ever-changing pharmacy landscape. The goal of this session is to bring awareness to these updates and their potential impact on pharmacy practice. The presenter will review pharmacy related legal and regulatory updates that occurred during the 2023 calendar year. The target topics include: Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA), removal of X-waiver, cannabis rescheduling and the Pharmacy Benefit Manager Transparency Act of 2023.

- Recall recent legislation impacting pharmacy practice in the United States.
- Recognize the impact of the removal of the X-waiver on prescribing requirements.
- Identify the requirements of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA).

Note about CE credit: If you plan to obtain credit for a live session, stay until the end of the presentation to receive the verification code you will need to obtain the continuing education credit. CE credit is individual. No group credit is available. Each person must register for a webinar and attend the webinar in its entirety in order to receive an email after the event with instructions on how to apply for continuing education credit.
