“Preventing the Past from Becoming Our Future: Lessons Learned From the COVID-19 Pandemic – A Call to Action”

O&M* presents…“Preventing the Past from Becoming Our Future: Lessons Learned From the COVID-19 Pandemic – A Call to Action”

This webinar program will review the core elements of preventing disruptions in the delivery of healthcare services during a pandemic or other unanticipated influx of patients. During the COVID-19 pandemic, patients’ lives were dramatically impacted with reduced access to care and countless healthcare providers were forced to use PPE for extended periods of time. This program will provide a “proactive” approach to ensuring the healthcare delivery system and supply chain are prepared for the next “big event” and to ensure continuing continuity of care delivery.

Learning Objectives  |  At the end of this session participants should be able to:

  • Discuss the most needed changes to prevent the healthcare impacts of a pandemic to the clinical operations scheme
  • Review proactive approaches to addressing lapses in care delivery during outbreaks and pandemics
  • Discuss the needed focus on building the healthcare workforce to prepare for unanticipated influxes of patients and disruptions in supply chain management
