Misty Novak, a seasoned RN and Nurse Practitioner with 25 years of experience has dedicated nearly two decades to the specialized field of wound care, a passion she discovered in 2006. Her background in Level I trauma centers hasbrought her face-to-face with some of the most complex cases, giving her a calm resilience that no challenging wound or ostomy can shake. In this session, she will review Peripheral Artery Disease as well as risk factors related to the disease process. Signs and symptoms of Peripheral Artery Disease as well as caring for patients with PAD (including those with or without wounds) will be reviewed.
Learning Objectives | At the end of this session, participants should be able to:
- UnderstandPAD and risk factors for the disease
- Recognize Signs and Symptoms of PAD
- Recall how to care for patients with or without wounds
