HealthTrust presents…“Keys to Successful Collaboration Between Supply Chain & Physicians”

In the simplest terms, a clinically integrated supply chain means keeping the patient in mind as decisions are made regarding equipment, products and supplies. However, applying this concept into hospital culture can be a challenge. Supply Chain Directors, Value Analysis Leads and other hospital leaders often approach physicians with requests to consider using a different product or using less of a product in the name of cost reduction. During this session, physicians and supply chain leaders will share their perspective on how to collaborate effectively to balance cost, quality and outcomes. The panelists will also share details about the type of data and information that is most relevant when making these decisions.

Learning Objectives  |  At the end of this session, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify lessons learned and relevant steps to improve collaboration between supply chain and physicians.
  2. Outline data that is important to provide to physicians when evaluating a product.
  3. Recall how to effectively present data to physicians.
