There have been several updates in 2022 for the COVID-19, pneumococcal and mpox vaccines. It is crucial for clinicians involved with the preparation and administration of vaccines to stay up to date with current recommendations. The presenter will provide an overview of the updated guidelines for the COVID-19, pneumococcal and mpox vaccines, a literature review of the changes made, and a review of storage requirements, preparation and administration involved with each vaccine.

Learning Objectives for Pharmacists & Nurses  |  At the end of this session, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify the indication and population of interest for mpox, pneumococcal and COVID-19 vaccines
  2. Recall administration considerations for the mpox, new pneumococcal and COVID-19 vaccines
  3. Recognize adverse effects, contraindications and timing or administration for mpox, pneumococcal and COVID-19 vaccines in special patient populations

Note about CE credit: If you plan to obtain credit for a live session, stay until the end of the presentation to receive the verification code you will need to obtain the continuing education credit. CE credit is individual. No group credit is available.
