“Cut Through the Clutter: A Focused Approach to Infection Prevention”

3M Health Care Academy* presents…“Cut Through the Clutter: A Focused Approach to Infection Prevention”

In an environment where you are being told that everything is a priority and demanding of attention, how can you cut through the clutter and identify the most effective strategies for training teams to combat healthcare-associated infections?  A recent survey* of infection preventionists revealed they feel constantly inundated with information and are looking for focused solutions that help  enable staff to support infection prevention goals. The physician presenter will discuss how a comprehensive, strategic approach to training can help facilities coordinate efforts to influence infection prevention processes and improve patient outcomes.

* In April 2018, 3M commissioned “Human Factors and the Future of Infection Prevention”. This survey, conducted by an independent research firm, queried 650 U.S. infection preventionists and clinicians about their attitudes and beliefs related to infection prevention trends, challenges, and best practices.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify common infection prevention challenges revealed in a recent survey
  2. Describe a three-pronged approach to achieving infection prevention goals
  3. Discuss training strategies that can lead to improved outcomes
