“Biofilm in Endotracheal Tubes”

Avanos* presents…“Biofilm in Endotracheal Tubes” as a part of their Respiratory Health Week series

This session is designed to introduce or refresh health care practitioners’ knowledge of the bacterial biofilm that develops and grows inside endotracheal tubes. The program explains what biofilm is and how biofilm develops. It also discusses where biofilm grows and how it becomes resistant to antibiotics. Last, it discusses several procedures or devices that help prevent and/or treat biofilm growth in endotracheal tubes.
