HealthTrust presents…“Artificial Intelligence in Clinical Decision Support”

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a new tool and is surrounded with a lack of clarity in its abilities and limitations. This presentation explores the strengths and weaknesses of AI in its current state and identifies how it can be used as an effective patient care tool through the lens of clinical decision support. The presenters will explore the connection between the growing study of artificial intelligence and the complex field of effective clinical decision support. By harnessing the potential of AI to guide clinical decision as support tools, new advancements in patient safety and medication management enable a more directed and enhanced experience in accommodating patient care.

Learning Objectives  | At the end of this session, participants should be able to:

1. Recall the current landscape and underlying mechanisms of artificial intelligence tools utilized in clinical decision support.
2. Identify the ethical, regulatory, and operational challenges associated with integrating machine learning algorithms into routine clinical workflows.
3. Recognize evidence-based frameworks to assess the clinical validity, safety and impact of AI-driven interventions on patient outcomes and medication management.

Note about CE credit: If you plan to obtain credit for a live session, stay until the end of the presentation to receive the verification code you will need to obtain the continuing education credit. CE credit is individual. No group credit is available. Each person must register for a webinar and attend the webinar in its entirety in order to receive an email after the event with instructions on how to apply for continuing education credit. Attendees should not share the code or forward the email to others who did not actually attend the program. If they are not able to be verified on our webinar provider reports and registration list they will not receive credit. If you are joining only by phone, you will not be eligible for credit.
