According to Joint Commission Online, the Infection Control standard IC.02.02.01 is the most cited standard for non-compliance with 72% of hospitals surveyed in 2017 being cited as noncompliant. In September 2018 The Joint Commission refined its scoring for this standard, and to help you understand how this can affect your Sterile Processing Department, Steris University is hosting a free CE webinar.

Learning Objectives  |  At the end of this session, participants should be able to:

  1. Review the roles and expectations of independent auditors, CMS or Joint Commission Surveyors as it pertains to Sterile Processing
  2. Discuss the recent Joint Commission scoring changes, and what this means to Sterile Processing Departments
  3. Provide typical examples of Sterile Processing non-conformances observed during facility audits and surveys
