This course reviews many useful terms pertaining to the management of long-term artificial airways in non-acute care settings, identifies three non-acute health care settings that provide essential respiratory assistance for mechanically ventilated patients, and discusses the need for tracheal suctioning and finally, provides understanding of some the causes of tracheostomy complications and their treatments.
