“Steam Sterilization Quality Control Checkup”

3M Healthcare Academy* presents… “Steam Sterilization Quality Control Checkup”

This same program has two offerings on Jan. 17: 9AM AND 1PM (Central).

Are your facility’s steam sterilization quality assurance policies up-to-date? AAMI revised ST79 in 2017, AORN updated their Guideline for Sterilization in 2018, and The Joint Commission has new scoring around certain high-level disinfection and sterilization process steps.

Start the New Year off by joining this webinar to assess your procedures against current steam sterilization monitoring recommended practices. The webinar will also provide an opportunity for you to compare your practices with those of peer facilities through interactive polling and to practice sterilization process failure troubleshooting.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Review current AAMI and AORN recommended practices for quality control monitoring of steam sterilization processes.
  2. Describe The Joint Commissions’ new scoring around sterilization processes and Standard IC 02.02.01.
  3. Discuss troubleshooting steam sterilization process failures.
