EVAR-TEVAR

Endovascular repair of an aortic aneurysm is a minimally invasive method to treat aortic aneurysms, ulcers, hematomas, dissection or transection typically via a femoral artery using percutaneous or cut down approach. This repair is can be to the abdominal aorta (EVAR) or to the thoracic aorta (TEVAR). Although there are variations from device to device the systems typically contain three primary components: a delivery system, a main body and extensions. Medtronic has issued a recall on their Valiant Navion Thoracic Stent Graft Systems. HealthTrust has created a document to highlight this recall and action that should be taken. Additionally, HealthTrust members have exclusive access to a product feature summary profiling the various devices used for EVAR & TEVAR. It can be found within the contract package on the Member Portal. If you do not have access to the Member Portal, contact your local supply chain administrator or HealthTrust Account Manager to request a copy.
