Peripheral Angioplasty Guidelines

Peripheral angioplasty balloons are utilized to open blocked or narrowed arteries in the peripheral vascular tree. The balloons come in a wide variety of lengths, diameters, wire size, materials, profiles, and compliance ratings. They cover small and large vessel disease in iliac, femoral, iliofemoral, popliteal, infra- popliteal, and renal arteries. Some of these balloons may also be used to treat native or synthetic arteriovenous dialysis fistulae and to pre or post dilate peripheral stents.
