IFIs in the critical care setting often present challenging diagnostic and therapeutic problems\, and timely diagnosis is essential for favorable outcomes. The presenter will review pharmacologic treatment options for fungal infections in patients in the intensive care unit and discuss where these options fit into current standards of practice. CE credit is not available when accessing the program on demand. \nCrohn’s disease is an inflammatory bowel disease that causes chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract. This disease affects more than half a million people in the United States. Crohn’s disease treatment is divided into two phases: induction and maintenance. Treatment is multifaceted where a combination of treatment options is often required for relief. The presenter will focus on pharmacologic treatment options for induction therapy of Crohn’s disease including investigational medications. As treatment of Crohn’s disease is dependent on the severity of the illness\, stages of the disease and subsequent paths of treatment will also be defined.
