The COVID-19 Pandemic has created many challenges for both healthcare and community settings. As we continue to fight the COVID-19 Pandemic and enter the annual respiratory infection season, healthcare professionals must maintain a high state of awareness of infection prevention and control. During this webinar program, the appropriate uses of PPE, patient and healthcare personnel screening, and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment will be addressed. Preparedness and early recognition of infectious respiratory diseases are critical elements of ensuring future pandemic preparedness.

Learning Objectives  |  At the end of the session, participants should be able to:

  • Review the various clinical presentations of respiratory infectious diseases including COVID-19, influenza and colds
  • Discuss the adaptations with the use of PPE that must be made during respiratory infection season
  • Review core elements of pandemic preparedness to ensure diagnostic, operational and therapeutic readiness for future infectious disease threats
