The ability of a pharmacist to perform valuable patient care, be the most accessible healthcare provider, and continue to make significant improvements to healthcare teams has initiated a discussion around pharmacists achieving provider status. In order to obtain provider status, the ability to quantify outcomes is beneficial. This presentation will focus on explaining the benefit of tracking pharmacist productivity, describing current measures around pharmacist productivity, and evaluating clinical pharmacist outcomes using published studies. At the end of this presentation, attendees should have an increased understanding of the current measures of productivity and the possible opportunities to correlate the productivity to outcomes to aid in advocating for provider status and reimbursement for pharmacists.

Learning Objectives for Pharmacists  |  At the end of this session, participants should be able to:

  1. Recognize the benefit of tracking pharmacists’ productivity
