Getinge* presents…“IABP Web Seminar: Introduction to IABC Therapy”

This three-hour live web seminar will include a review of the theory of intra-aortic balloon pump counterpulsation (IABC) therapy, followed by a discussion of the technical aspects of the Getinge IABP and the IAB catheter. Troubleshooting the alarms and advisories will also be discussed.

Learning Objectives  |  At the end of this session, participants should be able to:

• Identify three indications and three contraindications for IABC therapy
• Delineate the major complications associated with IABC therapy
• Discuss the operation and troubleshooting of the IABP
