DESCRIPTION:HealthTrust presents…“Demystifying Pharmaceutical Class of Trade” \n \n  \nDownload the content. \nPlease Note: Continuing education credit is only available to those attending the session live. Pharmaceutical manufacturers assign COT designations to each purchaser. Depending on the COT\, the Pharmaceutical manufacturer will provide discounts to the value-driving force. Manufacturers view\, monitor and assign classes of trade inconsistently. The pharmaceutical class of trade model was developed by drug manufacturers\, and parties such as the group purchasing organization (GPO) and purchasing facilities must adhere to the manufacturer classification. Limited information is available to healthcare professionals on the benefits and negatives of class of trade.
