This webinar program will discuss the most recent findings and recommendations from the Food and Drug Administration and relevant clinical societies related to medical device safety, reprocessing, and reusable medical devices. The program will begin with a look at noncritical items and conclude with an assessment of semi-critical and critical medical devices and instruments. Healthcare facilities must rapidly address some of the known risks associated with medical device uses to reduce cross-contamination and potential patient infection. This webinar will provide a comprehensive approach to building a medical device hygiene strategy in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

- Review current and future challenges associated with medical device hygiene and reprocessing
- Discuss evidence-based approaches to ensuring patient safety and infection control related to medical devices
