DESCRIPTION:HealthTrust presents…“Don’t Stress Over Prophylaxis: A Stress Ulcer Prophylaxis Review \nStress ulcer prophylaxis is not one size fits all. The most recent guidelines bring some uncertainty regarding specific patient populations and unanswered questions compared to the older guidelines. The new guidelines strive to simplify the standards to four main patient populations. While the newer guidance attempts to decrease stress ulcer prophylaxis in mechanically ventilated patients\, new literature published after the guidelines brings debate on prophylaxis in this specific population.
