CE credit is not available when accessing the program on demand. \nThe current mainstay of treatment for acute alcohol withdrawal syndrome is benzodiazepines. However\, there is an ample amount of evidence that is supporting the use of transitioning back to barbiturates. Clinicians need to be aware of the newer literature that supports the use of barbiturates over benzodiazepines.
