CE credit is not available when accessing the program on demand. \nDrug overdose and subsequent poisoning can happen from accidental ingestion\, therapeutic use or intentional overdose. Drug overdose deaths rose by 51% from 2019 to 2021 with more than 106\,000 drug overdose deaths reported in 2021. In 2021\, U.S. poison centers were contacted regarding 310\,263 patients who were being treated in health care facilities for potential toxicity from pharmaceutical drugs. Various widely available over-the-counter (OTC) medications also have the potential for causing serious toxicities.
