DESCRIPTION:3M Health Care Academy* presents…“Site Protection\, Securement & Skin Integrity: Skin Care Considerations for Vascular Access” \nPrevention of infection\, preservation of vascular access and promotion of patient comfort are key outcomes of care during infusion therapy. Because intact\, healthy skin provides the body’s first line of defense\, nurses providing infusion therapy need to have an understanding of skin and the mechanisms by which it can be disrupted.
