DESCRIPTION:The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences & Mead Johnson present…“Immunology in Infants & Food Allergy Management Cow’s Milk Allergy: Mechanisms\, Diagnosis & Treatment” \nAs part of the series “New Approaches to Diagnosing and Managing Infant Food Allergy\,” this program discusses strategies for diagnosing and managing cow’s milk allergy (CMA) in infants. Presenters will discuss strategies for diagnosing and managing food allergies in infants\, specifically cow’s milk allergy (CMA) and its pathophysiology. They are not as familiar with alternatives to these products\, nor do they understand the potential patient benefits in avoiding this protein that is responsible for the most common food allergy in the 0 to two-year-old age range. This program will review the available evidence supporting the exclusive use of human milk\, including improvements in morbidity in infants with the absence of the cow’s milk protein.
