DESCRIPTION:The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences with an education grant by Mead Johnson Nutrition present… “Novel Approaches to Oral Feeding Readiness Assessment in the Newborn” \nLearning Objectives  |  At the conclusion of this activity\, participants should be better able to: \n\nRecognize the diverse biological mechanisms involved in neonatal oral feeding\nDescribe the potential benefits of using saliva as a diagnostic biofluid to assess feeding in the newborn\nDiscuss the need for objective tools to evaluate neonatal oral feeding readiness\n\nTarget Audience: This activity was developed for neonatologists\, nurse practitioners\, nurses\, registered dieticians and other health care professionals who have an interest in pediatric nutrition. \n_____________ \nContinuing Education Information: This program is accredited for 1.0 contact hour for physicians\, nurses and dietitians. Additional Accreditation and Certification information found here. \nThe estimated time to complete the activity is 1.0 hour.
