The FDA is excited to announce the upcoming launch of a new public education campaign to encourage safe disposal of unused opioid pain medicines. Join the FDA to hear about this important new effort and learn what you can do to reduce the chance of accidental or intentional prescription opioid misuse among your constituents, neighbors, friends and loved ones. The presenter is the Deputy Center Director for Regulatory Programs  who shares responsibility for overseeing the regulation of research, development, manufacture and marketing of prescription, over-the-counter and generic drugs in the United States. He is committed to ensuring that the benefits of approved drugs outweigh their known risks.
