Reducing the Risk of Medical Device Tubing Misconnections – Update on ENFit Enteral Connectors
Download a PDF of this presentation.
To reduce the risk and frequency of medical tubing misconnections, unique international standard designs (ISO 80369) will promote improved patient safety and help ensure that connectors for unrelated delivery systems are incompatible. This program will provide an update on the global initiative to introduce new ISO standard enteral connectors commonly known as ENFit. How to address dose accuracy of low dose medications and anticipated timing for the introduction of new enteral devices with ENFit connectors will be addressed.
