“Guidelines for Diagnosis & Management of Food Protein-Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES)”

The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences & Mead Johnson* present…“Guidelines for Diagnosis & Management of  (FPIES)”

As part of the series “New Approaches to Diagnosing and Managing Infant Food Allergy,” this program is designed for learners to recognize the clinical presentation of FPIES and how to incorporate medical and nutritional strategies using current FPIES guidelines. The presenter will examine the clinical presentation of Food Protein-Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES); summarize common food triggers of FPIES; distinguish FPIES from other major non-IgE-mediated food allergies; discuss oral food challenges for patients with suspected FPIES; and identify medical and nutritional strategies using current FPIES guidelines.
